Four Foundations of Mindfulness:
The course will follow the profound Buddhist Teachings on the 4 Foundations of Mindfulness interwoven with yoga:

  • Mindfulness of the body - being embodied through our practice. Tuning in to what practice serves your growth process.
  • Mindfulness of Feelings - unwrapping with open honesty and lightness what is there. Welcoming emotions and feelings & knowing what to do with them.
  • Mindfulness of the Mind - anchoring on the breath and transforming what is not serving us into powerful purpose. Opening mind and heart.
  • Mindfulness of our Environment - we are part of this world; integration & purpose through conscious choice.

The course will follow a clearly outlined program of 5 modules spaced over 6 months, so you have time to embody in the learning process, and confidently refer back to and integrate the framework of the teachings.
An important aspect is learning to befriend the busy-ness of the mind, which is essential for transformation, no matter what this transformation looks like on a personal level for you.

The process will be supported by relevant readings and assignments to integrate your learning process as well as personal one-on-one support from me.

Start to Plant your Seeds of Purpose with humility, devotion and creative power.
This opportunity is available to anyone who is willing, no matter what your level of yoga is.

Individualised Training Program

The essence of this process is you investing in yourself, and together with me, finding a way to integrate the practices of yoga in a way that is integral for you in your life (like a life companion), meeting change as it arises.
I am there to share what knowledge and experience I have with you to support your unfolding.

Training time - you carve out space and time in your daily life for the reading, reflecting and practicing. I am there to “witness” & support your process.

Literature - I will share inspirational books which I love, so you can assimilate knowledge into your yoga practices.

Yin and Flow Practices - I will guide you through supportive practices that bring the best out of you, inviting independent practicing.

Mindset - I will share some tools I have gathered over the years to work with challenging mindsets.

Neuroscience - Integrating science in the wisdom of yoga, and embodying the change

Meditation - What does this term mean for you and how do you wish to integrate this into your daily life, if it is not already?

Self-care - Simple rituals you can use to take good care of yourself in your daily life, especially when it is challenging.

Seva project

In Yoga, SEVA (Say-va) is a Sanskrit word for service - how can we serve others and give back to society. Through my yoga practice and teaching, I aim to give back to my childhood community in a small and meaningful way. Since I grew up in South Africa, this is where my heart lies in an attempt to empower young children in the Lidgetton community where it is often challenging to have hope and see the light. Our small Angel Ruth’s Soup Kitchen is a space where the children can go for a warm meal, as well as to a space where they know they are safe and cared for, can play freely and learn.

I offer a percentage of my teaching earnings back into this community, knowing that is is well used and goes directly to the source. To support the growing needs in the Lidgetton community, we set-up Lucky Beans e.V. in Germany in 2015. Through our charity status we are able to offer the possibility of EU citizens receiving a tax reclamation from any donation you may wish to make.
