My View

For me, the practice of yoga is about each person experiencing him/herself in this moment, just as they are right now.
You observing yourself breathing, being still, moving, connecting, in a light non-judgemental way.
No matter who you are, what your body can or supposedly can’t do, no matter what your story, the practice of yoga is accessible.

My Experience

My integrated approach to teaching has slowly developed over the past 26 years, through my various experiences of working with many different people.
I am presently working with small specialised groups, private clients with specific health issues, as well as cancer patients.

Midday Yoga

for boosting energy & re-establishing creative focus and flow

This 30-minute midday yoga session incorporates the essential elements from the first pillar:
Relax - Release - Refresh

  • Relax your body through focused breathing
  • Release any tension you may be holding through simple co-ordinated movements
  • Refresh your body and mind, for more efficient focus and harnessed creative energy, to see you through the afternoon.

Embodied Stillness Program

Integrating awareness practices into your work and daily life

A 4-session Program, in which you will learn a selection of essential yoga and meditation tools which you can implement immediately into your daily life for supporting you personally and professionally to be more clear, calm and focused.

These tools are designed to support you in your professional field, where you may be called upon to:

  • Meet challenges and conflict situations in your work environment
  • Address expectations of partners, colleagues &/or employees
  • Apply reforms which may be critically received
  • And other challenging situations that bring you out of your equilibrium and balance

Whether you are new to the world of yoga or you wish to refresh and deepen your knowledge, these practices will meet you where you are.

Seva project

In Yoga, SEVA (Say-va) is a Sanskrit word for service - how can we serve others and give back to society. Through my yoga practice and teaching, I aim to give back to my childhood community in a small and meaningful way. Since I grew up in South Africa, this is where my heart lies in an attempt to empower young children in the Lidgetton community where it is often challenging to have hope and see the light. Our small Angel Ruth’s Soup Kitchen is a space where the children can go for a warm meal, as well as to a space where they know they are safe and cared for, can play freely and learn.

I offer a percentage of my teaching earnings back into this community, knowing that is is well used and goes directly to the source. To support the growing needs in the Lidgetton community, we set-up Lucky Beans e.V. in Germany in 2015. Through our charity status we are able to offer the possibility of EU citizens receiving a tax reclamation from any donation you may wish to make.
